Root Canal Treatment
- Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp, the soft tissue inside the root canal, becomes inflamed or infected. A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.
Root Removal ( APICOECTOMY )
- An apicoectomy is a minor surgical procedure in which the very tip of the tooth’s root is removed and sealed. An apicoectomy may be needed when an infection develops or persists after root canal treatment,or retreatment.
Root Planning
- Root planning is a method of treating severe gum disease. When having gum disease, inflammation of the tissues will lead to separation of gum from the root surface, which creates a tiny space known as a periodontal pocket. Root planing smooths the surface of the root so the gums can reattach properly.
Post & Core Crown
- A type of dental restoration required where there is an inadequate amount of sound tooth tissue remaining to retain a conventional crown. A post is cemented into a prepared root canal, which retains a core restoration, which retains the final crown.
